Vanéflon uses different techniques to deliver products to your specific requirements and with the best possible material choice: compression molding, hot molding and extrusion molding.

Key properties:

  • Compression molded plates (PTFE and many compounds): 600 x 600 mm, 1.000 x 1.000 mm or 1.500 x 1.500 mm
  • Hot molded plates (PCTFE, PFA, FEP and ETFE): 500 x 500 mm or 520 x 270 mm
  • Extruded plates (high performance plastics and engineering plastics): 600 x 600 mm, 1.000 x 1.000 mm or 1.000 x 2.000 mm. Other dimensions on request.
  • Thickness: 1 – 150 mm
  • Up to 5 mm thickness: material skived from block

Skived sheets

Skiving is a technique that cuts material off in thin slices. Vanéflons skived sheets are skived from large PTFE blocks with a thickness up to 3 mm. The skived sheets consist of fluoropolymers on one side and a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive on the other side. The width and length can vary according to your specific requirements.

These skived sheets will deliver superior insulation strength. Other characteristics are their non-stickyness, flexibility and high temperature resistance. They can also withstand chemicals, heat and moisture very well. Skived sheets do not suffer from porosity, exhibit an excellent release and have a very low coefficient of friction.
