Near net shapes
Near net shape is an industrial production technique. The initial production of the item is very close to the final shape, reducing the need for surface finishing. Vanéflon uses this technique with compression molded PTFE, modified PTFE or other fluoropolymers. The materials are molded to various degrees of finished form to customers’ specific requirements of the final part.
Near net shapes can equal significant cost savings, reduction of scrap and overall increased productivity in comparison to solid rods, providing the desired order quantities are large enough. Delivery times will also be faster.
Key properties:
- PTFE, modified PTFE and other fluoropolymers
- Significant cost and time savings
- Forms according to your specific requirements
